Storage Ideas for this Season’s decorations
We all could use some good ideas for storing and organizing our decorations. Here are some ideas that could make set up and tear downs pain free. All of these storage ideas are items you may have around the house. Liquor store boxes can make excellent storage with built in compartments, just wrap your items in tissue paper and slide them into different sections, be sure to put heavier items in first. Shoe boxes, egg cartons and plastic produce containers are all great ideas for separating and storing smaller items. Use paper towel or wrapping paper tubes to wrap garland or other strings. If you have an artificial tree with no box, use an old duffle bag, this will prevent damage and dust and dirt from collecting. Use old dry cleaning bags to store wreaths, by sticking the hanger in the top of the bag you can store your wreaths hanging up. Old coffee cans can be used to store lights, just wrap the lights around the tin, cut and X in the top and stick the ends in the plastic X, this will prevent knots and breaking. It’s recommended to use white tissue paper to wrap ornaments rather than colored tissue paper or newspaper as they could cause smudging or color dyeing on your ornaments. If you have no place left to store all of your decorations please give us a call at 780-464-0075 and we can help you find a larger home. ;)
Happy Holidays from Brent, Sabrina, Megan and Linda.
