Sure, the odd home does sell itself. If it's in a great location, is priced well, and the market is strong. But this is not the case for the majority of properties.
Approximately 90-95% of all real estate is done by a professional. Of the 5-10% of homes for sale by owners, only 5% of those end up selling on their own. So what about the other 95%? They need the protection and marketing of a professional.
